The Merchant’s House Museum respects the privacy of visitors to our website. Unless an individual knowingly shares this information with the Museum via the website, the Museum does not collect names, addresses, telephone/fax numbers or e-mail addresses of website visitors. If you choose to provide this information to the Museum, you must agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of our Privacy Policy.
The Museum does not sell or rent to third parties any of the personal information you provide to us when requesting information from us by email, including a request to be on our mailing list -- or when making a contribution to the Museum. We may, however, release such information if and when doing so is in reasonable compliance with the law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of the Museum and/or other persons accessing its website or visiting its facility.
Occasionally the Museum may be in touch by email with those who have supplied us with their email addresses in order to report news about the Museum, its programs and special events. If you do not want to receive email from the Museum, and prefer to receive such messages by regular mail, please email us to this effect, and provide your name and postal address, at nyc1832@merchantshouse.org. You may also use this address to send us any other questions or comments about the Museum’s Privacy Policy or other content areas of this website.
The Museum reserves the right to amend its Privacy Policy at any time in response to changes in law or in Museum policies.
